Step-by-step instructions
Step 1
Measure the mirror face, clips, wall clearance, and the swing of nearby doors before choosing the frame profile.
Step 2
Cut four lightweight trim pieces with a back-relieved rabbet so the frame bridges clips instead of pressing on the glass.
Step 3
Seal every face and cut edge with a bathroom-rated finish, allowing the full cure time before installation.
Step 4
Join the corners on a flat surface, add thin bumpers at contact points, and attach a reversible cleat or clip system to the wall—not the mirror.
Step 5
Install, check that the mirror remains supported by its original hardware, and inspect the frame after the first week of showers.
Never rely on trim or adhesive to support the mirror. Keep the original mirror clips engaged and stop if the glass is chipped or loose.
